I'm in process of filling out paperwork for proof of citizenship, as my father was born in Canada. I only have a photocopy of his birth certificate, would this be accepted? I can't apply for a certified copy as I live in the UK and am not the representative who dealt with my father's affairs when he died, so don't have copy of the will etc.
