Just checked the IRCC Secure Portal this AM and it has everything as Approved and Final Decision. Plus the visa in passport date and number is visible. Just awaiting to receive the passport in hand this week now.

Just received Passport with Counterfoil Visa and COPR document today. Both online portals display as Approved and Closed. 11 months timeline for us from beginning to end. Outland applicant from Pakistan.

I have applied for my spousal sponsorship and got AOR on Feb 16, 2024. The timeline is as follows:
File submitted : Oct 04, 2023
File returned : Jan 06, 2024
Re-submitted file : Jan 16, 2024
AOR : Feb 16, 2024
Biometrics : March 7, 2024
Medical : March 14, 2024
Background check : in progress
Eligibility check : not started
As per PR tracker, Biometrics and medical are completed on March 17, 2024. I am wondering as it is been 2.5 months and we have not received any update.
In most of the cases, pre-arrival letter is received before background check and eligibility check but in our case, background check is in progress. Is there anybody with the same situation with background check going on before pre-arrival letter?

Yes, that is completely normal. There is no specific order on how things work.
